SIXTREES considers a number of films that might be interesting enough, with high expectations on the visualization effects, the talented cast and the interesting storyline.
The Avengers
Fronting the defense line to protect the Earth from Loki and his evil colony are the superhero team of Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Incredible Hulk, Thor. Cast includes Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johannson, Chris Hemworth, Jeremy Renner, Samuel Jackson, Chris Evans. Helmed by Joss Whedon with VFX provided by exceptional individuals from ILM, Weta Digital, Luma Pictures, Hydraulx, New Deal Studios, Stereo D, Cantina Creative, The Third Floor Inc., Efilm.
The Dark Knight Rises
Dubbed by many as the most anticipated film of the year, (thanks in part to the Heath Ledger legacy), is the final installment of the Dark Knight Rises. Christian Bale dons the batman suit for the final offering as he battles with Catwoman, portrayed by Anne Hathaway and Bane, a role assumed by Tom Hardy. Rounding up the list of impeccably-talented cast are Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Morgan Freeman and Gary Oldman. VFX execution by creative geniuses from Double Negative with help from New Deal Studios.
The Amazing Spiderman
Generating great publicity on the cast and director overhaul, is the team-up of Andrew Garfield playing the red and blue-costumed Spiderman, with Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, and Marc Web calling the directorial shots. Adding a heightened level of appeal to the film is the pool of VFX wizards from Digital Domain, Proof Inc., Sony Pictures Imageworks Inc.
The Hobbit
After a series of delays, Peter Jackson returns to directing the prequel to the Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit. Topbilled by Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins, and among those sharing the big screen with him are the familiar faces of Elijah Wood, Orlando Bloom, Sir Ian McKellen and Cate Blanchett. Jackson as in the past, turns to Weta Digital for VFX brilliance.
